Darkspring Labs provides Sentry, a missed-call and SMS lead qualification system for local service businesses.
This Privacy Policy explains how Darkspring Labs may collect, use, store, and protect customer data, lead data, communication data, and business data while operating Sentry.
Darkspring Labs is based in the United States and operates Sentry from the United States.
2. Who This Policy Covers
This policy applies to:
- Businesses using Sentry
- People who call or text a business using Sentry
- Leads or customers whose information is processed through Sentry
3. Information We Collect
Sentry may collect or process information such as:
- Phone numbers
- Call details
- SMS message content
- Service request details
- Property address or job location
- Preferred timing or availability
- Lead status and qualification details
- Business contact information
- Workflow logs, delivery status, and error events
Sentry does not need sensitive personal information to operate. Businesses should not ask customers to send unnecessary sensitive information through Sentry.
4. How Information Is Collected
Information may be collected when:
- A person calls a business phone number connected to Sentry
- A person sends or replies to an SMS message
- A business provides setup or configuration details
- Sentry records workflow activity needed to operate, monitor, or debug the system
5. How We Use Information
Darkspring Labs may use customer data, lead data, communication data, and business data to:
- Respond to missed calls
- Send and receive SMS messages
- Qualify leads
- Notify business owners about new leads
- Store lead and conversation history
- Monitor system health
- Debug workflow errors
- Improve Sentry's reliability, usability, and performance
- Provide support during a beta, pilot, or customer relationship
6. Customer Data Ownership
Businesses using Sentry retain ownership of their customer data, lead data, communication data, and business data.
Darkspring Labs accesses and processes that data only to operate, support, debug, monitor, and improve Sentry.
7. SMS Communications and Opt-Out
Sentry may send SMS messages related to a customer inquiry or service request.
People can opt out of automated SMS messages by replying STOP.
People can opt back in by replying START.
Message and data rates may apply. SMS delivery depends on carriers, Twilio, and other third-party services.
8. Service Providers
Darkspring Labs may use third-party service providers to operate Sentry, including:
- Twilio for calls and SMS
- Supabase for database storage
- n8n for workflow automation
- Cloudflare Tunnel or similar networking tools
These providers may process data as needed to provide their services.
9. Data Sharing
Darkspring Labs does not sell customer data, lead data, communication data, or business data.
Darkspring Labs may share information only when reasonably necessary to:
- Operate Sentry
- Provide support
- Debug or monitor the system
- Work with service providers
- Comply with legal obligations
- Protect Darkspring Labs, its customers, or the public from misuse, fraud, or security issues
10. Data Retention
Darkspring Labs may retain customer data, lead data, communication data, workflow data, and business data for as long as needed to operate Sentry, provide support, maintain records, and improve the service.
During a beta or pilot, retention may be handled manually or through operational processes.
11. Access, Correction, Export, and Deletion Requests
Businesses may contact Darkspring Labs to request:
- Access to their business data
- Correction of inaccurate information
- A reasonable export of lead data, customer data, communication data, or business data
- Deletion of data where operationally feasible
Darkspring Labs will review these requests and respond in a reasonable way. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, operational, or recordkeeping purposes.
12. Security
Darkspring Labs uses reasonable safeguards to protect data processed by Sentry.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Businesses should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through SMS or asking their customers to do so.
13. Phone Numbers
Under the current Sentry pilot model, Twilio phone numbers may be controlled and managed by Darkspring Labs unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Future phone number transfer, porting, ownership, or long-term number management arrangements may be discussed separately if a business enters a production agreement with Darkspring Labs.
14. Children's Privacy
Sentry is intended for use by businesses and their customers in connection with local service requests. It is not intended for use by children.
15. Changes to This Policy
Darkspring Labs may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
The updated policy will be effective when posted or provided, unless a different effective date is stated.
